1) This image is the cover of my surrealist book. The image was chosen as the cover because of the violet/orange clouds resembling a "violet" garden in the sky. Violet Evergarden, is the title of an upcoming anime I am excited to watch. 2) I am a huge fan of space and Japanese art, so I chose to incorporate it within my collage. Surrealist, André Breton quoted, "The imaginary is what tends to become real." I chose this quote because it reflects engineer's dreams of what can become a reality. 3) I wrote a Dadaist poem and the combination of random words were cut from a magazine and put into my journal. If you'd like to see my poem in its original form click here. 4) My Ode to Totoro is about the significance of my plush Totoro toy. 5) The back cover was inspired by famous Studio Ghibli movie, Castle in the Sky. 6) Titled side of the book. 7) My adaptation of Totoro. |

As a fan of Star Wars and famous rapper, Logic, I wanted to incorporate these paintings on the surrealist mural. However, I gave the Logic painting to my brother as a gift and attached the Han Solo to the mural. The reference on the Han Solo painting is a parody of Carlton Banks' dance from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air to the song, "It's not Unusual" by Tom Jones.
