The Silk Screen Project was a fun project where we had to make shirt design on photoshop then print the design onto a shirt using a silk screen. Since I was part of the Silk Screen Team I was excused for doing the #Selfie Project where we had to create a selfie using adobe illustrator from an existing selfie we own. The Silk Screen Process was very fun. The steps to make them is: put a thin layer of emulsion along the top of the screen and use a squeegee to spread it on the screen. Next, you let it dry overnight. Then you put your design on the emulsified screen (the design is printed on clear paper) and let it sit under a sun lamp with Plexiglas on top to keep it down. You let the image burn for 15 min. Then immediately after, you take off the image and Plexiglas then rinse it off with a pressurized hose on the silk screen. You then dry it off with a paper towel and use fabric ink and a squeegee to put on a shirt of your choice.
