The 99 Seconds Project is a project about any topic we want to argue about in a 99 second video. My partner, Aidan and I, intertwined our arguments about Solar Roadways and Electric Cars and had to create a video about it. We first had to research our topics and had to create a fact sheet. By using these facts we created a letter to send persuade change to the right people. After the letter my partner and I made a two column script for the video using our fact sheet. We made the two column script with facts and images we chose. We then recorded our voice on audacity and followed our script we wrote for our video. The recording process was fairly difficult because we had to find places that were quiet and we also had to re-record many times. We also had to follow the requirements of 99 second audio. Next, we had to find our images and edit them on Photoshop. We had to make images fit the dimensions of 1080x720 pixels and make some pictures transparent or fill the screen. After finishing both the audio and visual process we put them together on Final Cut Pro on the Mac computers. We had to match the pictures with what we were saying and match it with our script. It was very tedious to make the video because matching the audio with the visual was a little hard. It also made the project difficult because I have not used a Mac computer very often or used Final Cut Pro in that matter. After finalizing our product we had to post it on Youtube with a description and title. I enjoyed doing this project because I learned how to record better audio and learned how to use Final Cut Pro. What helped me be successful in this project was staying on task and finishing work early. Advice I would give to students in the future is, do not procrastinate your work or you'll have to rush it and make sure you find good recording spots before other kids do. My teachers have really helped me and my partner complete this project by guiding us and giving advice on what to fix for our project. Although this was a great project, I see potential in fixing the recording process. There should be a scheduled recording instead of getting first pick for the best spots. Overall, this was an awesome project and I look forward to making progress in video making.
