This part of my digital portfolio will highlight some of my sample work from our math/physics class. Please check back soon for further updates.
One unit that we have done in our class is the 1D motion activity. This unit was about learning motion time graphs. The graphs focused on 3 concepts: the speed you went, the acceleration you took and how far you went.
The three main ideas were:
1. The slope if a position time graph tells us about an object's velocity. 2. The slope of a velocity time graph tells us about an objects acceleration. 3. The area under a velocity time graph (bound by axis and line) is equal to the displacement of the object.
Example of PT and VT
PT: A man runs at a constant speed to Trader Joes, then rests, then walks back at a constant but slow pace. VT: A man runs at a fast pace to Five guys then slows down and rests, then runs back to HTHI at a average pace.
